Early access
What to expect during the Dependency Firewall early access, how to give feedback, and known issues.
The Bytesafe Dependency Firewall is in early access. Companies join by invitation or by request, and run it against real projects while we prepare for general availability. This page describes what that means and where to report what you find.
Request early access
Tell us about your company and which package ecosystems you use. We review every application and reach out to see if there is a good fit.
What to expect
- The product is under active development. We are polishing it based on what early access users report, so features, dashboard screens, and API details still change.
- The documentation changes with it and is updated continuously. Individual changes are not tracked in release notes during early access; they resume at general availability.
- We ask for feedback on everything: rough edges, confusing error messages, missing capabilities, unclear documentation.
Feedback
Email support@bytesafe.dev. Bug reports and product feedback go to the same address during early access.
For bug reports, include your namespace ID, the firewall ID, and if the problem concerns a specific request, the request ID from the error message or log entry. For a blocked install, follow Investigate a blocked install first; it usually identifies the rule that fired.
Known issues
Issues found during early access are listed here until fixed. None are open right now. Two current limitations are by design or planned work:
- Conda support is in beta. The beta limits are listed on that page.
- Container images are not yet supported.
